export VM disk images

Feature request!  It'd be handy to be able to export a .img file
of my vm's hard disk to run on a local machine (it's easier to run  
kgdb via kvm/qemu on a local machine, for example).  No big deal,
though.  It's just useful if things go really south.

We've also bandied this about in the past.
