Description

Windows currently doesn't accept OFFERs from the DHCP server; we should debug this.

Some more debug info:

I can get it to work if I 1) turn off the Windows firewall and 2) enter the correct IP in the "Alternate Configuration" tab. The connection status in the GUI says it's using the alternate manual address, but DHCP seems to complete, get the mit.edu DNS suffix, and the standard MIT DNS servers from DHCP.

  • Priority changed from major to minor

It'll be cool to support Windows guests, but it's not a priority.

  • Milestone set to Version 2.0

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Given the recent changes to the DHCP server (and the fact that we hadn't tested this recently), I had ccpost boot up his Windows VM, and it seemed to acquire DHCP without any problems. I'm closing as fixed, unless anybody can reproduce.
