VNC applet doesn't handle modifier keys correctly

Description
If you hold down the alt key while moving the mouse out of the window, the VM believes that the Alt key remains held down after you return focus to the window.
This can be then be fixed by pressing Alt+F2, but it takes a while to figure this out.
